About Kingdom Kids
"Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work " C. S. Lewis.

At Full Gospel Assembly of God Children's Church - 'Kingdom Kids' - we believe that it's a great honor to serve God through serving our children. Ministering God's love and teaching children truths from the Word of God is as important as any other ministry of the Church. At Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, equal value and importance are given to little children, young people, and adults.

Mark chapter ten speaks of the love Jesus has for little children. The disciples' efforts to hinder the children from being blessed by Jesus, give Him displeasure, and He rebukes the disciples for turning the children away. Verse sixteen says, "And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them. " (KJV) What a beautiful word picture showing the depths of love in our gentle Saviour's heart! He loves little children and values them!

Matthew chapter eighteen, verse ten says, "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. "(KJV) Young or old, rich or poor, God loves us just the same. These little ones are precious in His sight!

Not only are they precious, but they can be used powerfully as well, by our God! It's the same Holy Spirit who dwells in all of us, and we at Fgag Children's Church strive to instill in our Children this truth from the Bible, that anything is possible for him who believes! We have many testimonies of sick relatives and friends being healed by the prayers of our children and of children sharing the Gospel boldly. We believe that this is just the beginning and there is much more to come. We are eagerly awaiting the days when our children will raise the dead and preach and proclaim His Word!

We have services every Sunday in the third floor, and through dance, drama, videos, puppet shows, games, activities, competitions, classes, special programs, we teach children from the Word of God. We have an anointed worship team who lead the children in worshipping God. Our children worship God in spirit and in truth, pray in tongues, learn from the Word and enjoy in His Presence week after week. Over the week, our prayer team supports the children and their families in prayer. We believe once a child experiences the love of Jesus, their life will never be the same again. We love our children, value them and pray they will love Jesus and grow in Him.

We believe our children will be little golden vessels in the Master's hand, overflowing with His love and anointing wherever they go.

TEACHING THEM YOUNG

All of us have memories from our childhood that are vivid and bright. Some happy, some sad... smells, things we saw, words we heard, emotions we felt, being disciplined, being loved, feeling special, our favorite stories and teachers, and so many more... Studies show that people with happy and positive memories of childhood have better health, less depression, and fewer illnesses as older adults, thus making it important to let children experience love in its fullness during their childhood. Sadly, for many children today, childhood is not a bed of roses. Every child is unique, and creating a positive environment is of paramount importance. More so, to teach children that the foundation of their identity, self-worth, and self-esteem is in the Word of God. Let's look at a few reasons regarding why it is important to teach them young.

The Earlier you Learn...

Do you remember a Bible story your Sunday class teacher told you or your first VBS, or your favorite song as a kid? I do. To mention a few, I remember the first class I attended. The teacher taught us the story of Lot’s wife, who turned into a pillar of salt when she looked back at Sodom. I remember being taught how God lifts us up when we humble ourselves. Things that we learned as kids, although seemingly simple and straightforward, mould our thoughts and shape us into who we grow up to be as an adult. The Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Children need to know that their identity is in Christ. Even if they go wayward later in life, the Word of God that was implanted in their hearts when they were young will draw them back to the unfailing and never-ending love of Christ.

It's all about Faith

Are children too young or naïve to comprehend God’s love and His sovereignty? Should we wait until they are a little older to understand or read the Bible on their own? Definitely not! Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14) No matter how old we are, none of us can understand God’s love with our own efforts; without the help of the Holy Spirit, it is impossible to understand God’s love and enter into His Kingdom. It is He who draws us to Him, not our limited human wisdom or intellect. The Bible says God is no respecter of man (Acts 10:34); He is not limited by age, size or experience. God called Samuel when “Samuel did not yet know the Lord” (1 Samuel 3:7). It is not our knowledge or efforts that help us know Christ, but the Holy Spirit. Though children are little, God does not belittle them. They are precious in His sight. God is able to use kids as instruments for His power and love to flow and to fulfill His purpose.

Encourage kids to trust and love God. At Children’s Church we help our kids grow in the Word of God, to help them understand that their identity is deeply rooted in the Word of God and on what Christ says they are - loved, accepted, unique, and special.

For Jesus, they are worth the pain on the cross.
